The Autodesk® solution for Digital Prototyping brings together design data from all phases of the product development process to create a single digital model. This single digital model simulates the complete product and gives engineers the ability to better visualize, optimize and manage their design before producing a physical prototype.
Since 1999, Engineering Design Systems, Inc. (EDSI) has developed and marketed the VAULTIX™ Document Management System, a mature, powerful, easy-to-use software system for managing AutoCAD drawings, scanned images, standard office document formats and any other types of documents.
VAULTIX offers powerful search capabilities, revision control, check-in and check-out of documents, and fast viewing and printing of over 200 document types.
The VAULTIXtm Document Management System provides secure vaulting of documents on a network file server, while allowing multiple levels of access to the documents by users with the appropriate permissions. Users can be restricted to read-only access, edit access - allowing modification of the document, or full control.
The Vaultixtm Client performs all communication with the server over HTTP, requiring no drive mappings or server logins. This allows your staff to access and manage their documents from anywhere.
The optional Vaultixtm Web Publisher module publishes your library of documents to the web with secure access for your assigned users or to the public. Users access the document library with only a web browser. A powerful JAVA thin-client viewing engine provides fast document viewing for users, even with a dial-up connection. Users cannot make any changes to your documents, but can access and view documents based on your permission assignments.
EDSI customizes VAULTIXtm for every individual client to provide a complete, turnkey solution to your firm's document management and viewing needs.
