Question 1
Could you please let us know how many officers you are requesting? Under the scope of work it only listed unarmed officer 7:30am-5pm Mon-Fri excluding holidays. However on Exhibit A & B there is pricing requested for unarmed, armed and armed bilingual. Are those options you are considering, or is there more than just 1 unarmed security on duty at a time?
Answer 1
Currently, one unarmed guard is scheduled to cover the building for the hours of 7:30 am-5 pm Monday through Friday. This means that the guard is expected to stay on site during their lunch. They may take the time to eat their lunch away from the front desk, but they must not leave the building. How the hours are split up during the week would be up to the proposer.
The customers that enter our building are evenly split between the Spanish and English languages. While it is not required that a guard be bilingual, when it comes to de-escalating a potential situation, the ability to speak Spanish would be extremely helpful.
We are exploring the cost of armed versus unarmed security personnel, at this time.
